MEPC.1/Circ.795/Rev.58 July 2021UNIFIED INTERPRETATIONS TO MARPOL ANNEX VI1 The Marine Environment Protection Committee,at its seventy-sixth session(10 to 17 June 2021),approved unified interpretations to regulation 2.23 of MARPOL Annex VIconcerning the clarification of the dates related to EEDI Phase 2 and 3 for new ships.2 The updated consolidated text of all existing unified interpretations toMARPOL Annex VI,including those set out in circular MEPC.1/Circ.795/Rev.4,are set out inthe annex.3 Member Governments are invited to apply the annexed unified interpretations toMARPOL Annex VI,as appropriate,and bring them to the attention of all Parties concerned.This circular revokes MEPC.1/Circ.795/Rev.4.
