Operating Instructions14 BAND RADIO RECEIVERFM1/FM2/FM3/MW/SW1-10PRECAUTIONSWITH TV SOUNDTo maintain good performanceDo not keep the unit in places which are extremely hot,cold.dusty or humid.In particular,do not keep the unit:.in a high humidity area such as a bathroom.near a heater.in an area exposed to direct sunlight(e.g.,inside a parked car.where there could be a considerable rise in temperature)cleaning the caseuse a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution.Do not use strong solvents such as alcohol,benzine or thinner.using the stand on the rear panelPOWER SUPPLYUsing with dry cell batteriesinsert three R6(size AA)batteries with the oand emarksproperly aligned and close the cover.Note on dry cell batteriesDo not mix different types of batteries,or an old battery with anew one.To prevent the risk of electrolyte leakage or explosions,neverrecharge the batteries,apply heat to them,or take them apart..When not using the batteries,remove them to prevent needlessbattery wear.(Attach External Power)PREPARATIONHOLD switch→BThe HOLD switch deactivates the POWER OFF,SW/MW/TVBand FM buttons.To deactivate these buttons,set the HOLD switch to ON.To activate these buttons set the HOLD switch to OFF beforeoperation.Sound adjustmentvolume→BAdjust the volume control to suit your preference.Tone→BVOLUMEset the TONE switch according to your preference.TONEListening through an earphoneConnect an earphone with 3.5mm mini-plug (not supplied)tothe earphone jack.The sound from the speaker will not be heard when the earphoneis connected.
