Instructions specific to hazardous areainstallations(reference European ATEX Directive94/9/EC,Annex Il,1.0.6.)The following instructions apply to equipment covered by certificatenumber Sira 05ATEX2027X for the CEL-320/IS and CEL-360S:1The equipment may be used with flammable gases and vapourswith apparatus Groups IlA,IlB and llC and with temperaturedasses T1.T2,T3 and T4.2The equipment is only certified for use in ambient temperatures inthe range -20oC to +40oC and should not be used outside thisrange.3The certificate marking is detailed on drawing numbers13-1920001AW1S-03and13-1920002AWlS-03.4Repair of this equipment shall be carried out by the manufactureror in accordance with the applicable code of practice.5The certification of this equipment relies on the followingmaterials used in its construction:Polybutylene terephlhalate(PBT)and Polycarbonate (PC)If the equipment is likely to come into contact with aggressivesubstances,then it is the responsibility of the user to takesuitable precautions that prevent it from being adverselyaffected,thus ensuring that the type of protection is notco mpromised.Aggressive substances e.g.solvents that may affect polymenicmatenalsSuitable precautions e.g.regular checks as part of routineinspections or establishing from the materal's data sheet that itis resistant to specific chemicals.6The certificate number has an 'X'suffix that indicates that thefollowing special condition of certification applies;Under certain extreme circumstances,the non-metallic partsincorporated in the endosure of this equipment may generate anignition-capable level of electrostatic charge.Therefore,when itis used for applications that specifically require group ll,category1 equipment,the equipment shall not be installed in a locationwhere the external conditions are conducive to the build-up ofelectrostatic charge on such surfaces.Additionally,theequipment shall only be cleaned with a damp cloth.CEL320360 Getting Started.Page 1
