MSC 107/20/Add.1Annex 13,page 1ANNEX 13RESOLUTION MSC.543(107)(adopted on 8 June 2023)AMENDMENTS TO THE CODE OF SAFETY FOR SPECIAL PURPOSE SHIPS,2008(2008 SPS CODE)THE MARITIME SAFETY COMMITTEERECALLING Article 28(b)of the Convention on the International Maritime Organizationconcerning the functions of the Committee.RECALLING ALSO resolution MSC.266(84),by which the Committee,at its eighty-fourthsession,adopted the Code of Safety for Special Purpose Ships,2008(2008 SPS Code),whichsuperseded the SPS Code adopted by resolution A.534(13),as amended,for special purposeships certified on or after 13 May 2008,NOTING the amendments to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea,1974("the Convention")adopted by resolution MSC.532(107),HAVING CONSIDERED,at its 107th session,consequential amendments to Record ofEquipment for the Special Purpose Ship Safety Certificate (Form SPS),ADOPTS amendments to the 2008 SPS Code,the text of which is set out in the annexto the present resolution;DETERMINES that the said consequential amendments to the 2008 SPS Codeshould become effective on 1 January 2026,in conjunction with the entry into force ofamendments to the appendix(Certificates)of the 1974 SOLAS Convention,and the 1994and 2000 HSC Codes,adopted by resolutions MSC.532(107),MSC.536(107)andMSC.537(107),respectively.I:MSC107MSC 107/20/Add.1.docx
