MSC.1/Circ.164014May2021AMENDMENTS TO THE INTERNATIONAL AERONAUTICALAND MARITIME SEARCH AND RESCUE(IAMSAR)MANUAL1 The Maritime Safety Committee,at its 103rd session(5 to 14 May 2021),having beeninfommed that the Intemational Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)had approved theamendments to the International Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue (IAMSAR)Manual prepared by the ICAO/IMO Joint Working Group on Harmonization of Aeronautical andMaritime Search and Rescue,at its twenty-seventh meeting (12 to 15 October 2020),approvedthe annexed amendments in accordance with the procedures for amending and updating theIAMSAR Manual set out in resolution A894(21).2The Committee agreed that the amendments should become applicableon 1 June 2022.3Member States are invited to bring the amendments to the attention of all partiesconcerned.
