Form:RWPRR401-BCCSCircularChina Classification Society(2011)Circular No.53,Total No.117June 21,2011 (2 pages)TO:Relevant CCS Branches,CCS Surveyors of Classed Newbuildings Department,owner andshipyardA notice of definition of shipyard in regulation and itsimplemented requirement1.Definition of shipyardNotice of variable situation arising in the actual newbuilding site,as mentioned in chapter 4,newbuilding survey,Rules for the Classification of Sea-going Steel Ships,issued by CCS;as wellas in both,Rules for Classification of Domestic Sea-going Ships,and the Rules for Classificationof Inland River-going Ships,the definition of "shipyard"will be presented as followingShipyard is also known as shipbuilder,which is the place for signing contracts and building theships.When using the working site,facilitates,or personnel owned by other shipyards,theshipyard should shoulder its responsibilities to the producing organization,working design,original material and equipment supply,quality control,personnel management,technical training,newbuiling standard,quality acceptance,and producing technology,may also issue a statementwhen present the application of newbuilding survey.2.Implement requirement1)The applicator must inform the actual newbuilding site when present the application;blocks,pipes,and outfiting are excluded.2)When using the working site,facilitates,or personnel owned by other shipyards,the shipyardshould shoulder its responsibilities to the producing organization,working design,originalmaterial and equipment supply,quality control,personnel management,technical training,newbuiling standard,quality acceptance,and producing technology,may also issue a statementwhen present the application of newbuilding survey.CCS Circ.Page 1 of 2
