SensorexPRODUCT INSTRUCTION SHEETEpoxy Body Conductivity Sensors -Graphite and Platinum BlackProduct InstructionsMechanical InstallationSubmersion Installation.The CS150 or CS200 electrodecan be submersed and mounted in a tank for conductivity mea-FIG.1FIG.21/2 or 3/4 NPT COUPLERsurement using gland and nut fitting FC50P(1/2"NPT)or FC75P(3/4"NPT).The FC50P or FC75 must first be inverted so the nutis pointed downwards.Loosen the nut by turning clockwise(remember that fitting is inverted).Slip electrode through holein nut until desired depth is reached.Tighten nut (hand-tight)by turning counterclockwise.Refer to FIG 1 and FIG 2.In-Line Installation.Mounting in-line is also possible usingFC50P or FC75P fittings.For in-line mounting it is suggestedSENSORthat the sensor be mounted through the side of the tee asshown in FIG 3 and FIG 4.The sensor must also be mounted such that the opening/slot inthe body is pointed upward so as to allow any air bubbles to riseout of the sensor and escape with the flow.Electrode Removal.Simply reverse installation proceduresabove.REMEMBER TO USEElectrical InstallationTEFLON TAPE TO SEALALL THREADEDInstallation for Electrodes without TemperatureCONNECTIONS!Sensor Incuded:The CS150 or CS200 does not includetemperature sensors.Each is supplied with two connections(red and black)and optional ground.Refer to FIG 5.These wiresFIG.3are for conductivity connection and have no unique polarity.Connect to any conductivity controller or transmitter per themanufacturer's wiring instructions at the connections marked"conductivity"or "cell".FLOWInstallation for Electrodes with TemperatureSensor Incuded:Electrodes with part number CS150TC-_or CS200TC-include a temperature sensor to provide a tem-perature signal so that your conductivity instrument can per-form temperature compensation(correct conductivity value to25C or 20C depending on instrument manufacturer).The tem-FIG.4perature wires are green and white.See FIG 6 for wiring details.These temperature wires can be connected to the instrument'stemperature input in any order since the ouput is a resistancesignal(Ohms).Please note that some meters require a three orfour wire temperature signal input.In these cases,place a jump-FLOWer wire(for three-wire type)or two jumper wires(for four-wireDIRECTIONtype)from the original lead to open temperature inputs.Pleaserefer to manufacturer's manual for details.Parts covered by this product data sheet include:CS150,CS150TC,CS200,CS200TCPage 1 of2Form:InstallCS150 [Rev:2011-06-27]2011 Sensorex Corporstion
