Technical Information(2012)Technical Information No.28 Total No.28Nov.16,2012(Total pages:1+2)To:Related Shipping Companies,Shipyards,Ship Design Companies,CCSSurveyorsNotice on the Implementation of MSC.1/Circ.1428Pilot Transfer ArrangementsThe Maritime Safety Committee,at its eighty-eighth session (24 November to 3December 2010),approved amendments to SOLAS regulation V/23 which,inter alia,include amendments to the Required Boarding Arrangements for Pilots (resolutionMSC.308(88)).In addition,the twenty-seventh regular session of the Assembly,inDecember 2011,amended standards of Pilot transfer arrangements,and adoptedresolution A.1045(27)which superseded A.889(21).CCS issued(2012)Circ.No.32(total No.194)for the implementation of relevant amendments on Mar.12,2012.These changes required amendments to the poster previously circulated under coverof MSC/Circ.568/Rev.1.The Maritime Safety Committee,at its ninetieth session,concurred with the recommendation of the fifty-seventh session of the NAVSub-Committee regarding required boarding arrangements for pilots and approved arevision of the poster.The attached revised poster of MSC.1/Circ.1428 issuedincorporates the most significant changes adopted by MSC 88.Member Governmentsare requested to bring the revised poster to the attention of their pilots,seafarers,shipowners,ship operators and others concerned with pilot boarding arrangements.Now,MSC.1/Circ.1428 and its poster are attached for relevant conference.This Technical Information is published on CCS website (www.ccs.orgcn)and is tobe forwarded by CCS branches to relevant shipping companies,shipyards,ship designcompanies and CCS surveyors in relevance to their business area.Hereby notify the above.Attachment:MSC.1/Circ.1428(total 2 pages)Please contact Ship Business Operation Dept.of the Headquarters in case of anyunclarity during the implementation of this Technical Information.Tel:(010)58112288Fax:(010)58112842E-mail:so@ccs.org.cn
