CCS技术通告Technical Information(2015)Technical Information No.24 Total No.185Jul.24,2015 (Total 3 pages)To:relevant departments of CCS Headquarters,Research and Development Centre,Rules and Technology Centre,Wuhan Rules and Research Institute,plan approvalcenters,branches,CCS surveyors,relevant shipyards,product manufacturers,shipdesigners and ship management companiesNotice on the Resolution MSC.380(94)and Circular MSC.1-Circ.1485of IMO MSC 94The 94th session of the Maritime Safety Committee of the International MaritimeOrganization (IMO MSC 94),which was held from 17 to 21 November 2014,adoptedresolution MSC.380(94)and approved circular MSC.1/Circ.1485.The mainrequirements are summarized as follows:1.Resolution MSC.380(94)-Amendments To The International Convention For The Safety OfLife At Sea(Solas),1974,as amended,which shall enter into force on 1 July 2016.(1)The existing heading of SOLAS Regulation II-2/10.5.2 "Machinery spacescontaining internal combustion machinery"is replaced by "Machinery spaces ofcategory A containing internal combustion machinery".Applicable to all passengerships and cargo ships of gross tonnage not less than 500.(2)In the amendments to Chapter VI of SOLAS,for Regulation 2 -CargoInformation,relevant requirements for mass verification of containers are added asfollows:Except for containers carried on a chassis or a trailer when such containers are drivenon or off a ro-ro ship engaged in short international voyages,the gross mass of allcontainers carrying cargo shall be verified by the shipper,either by weighing thepacked container using calibrated and certified equipment;or weighing all packagesand cargo items,using a certified method approved by the competent authority of theState in which packing of the container was completed;The shipper of a container shall ensure the verified gross mass is stated in theshipping document.The shipping document shall be signed by a person duly
