Guangdong TechnionThe Life Sciences and Bio-Engineeringsraal linstitute of TechnologyCore Facility广麻以色列理工学院Operating Instructions NanoQuantModel and Manufacturer:Tecan,SparkSafety:Wear gloves when inserting the plate to the Plate Reader.-Do not leave the plate inside the instrument.Might be harmful.Do not use gloves when using the computer.Inform the Core Facility staff for any safety issue or misuse of the instrument.1.Start1.1 Switch on the plate reader to preheat 20 min before use.Turn on the computer.A blue light willturn on.ATECAN.Main SwitchBlue LightControl PanelNanoQuant Plate Set1.2 Log in to the Bookitlab system and activate the software.1.3 The plate holder will come out automatically after opening the software.Click Retract/Ejectbutton (red circle above)to retract it temporarily.1.4 Open the Tecan Sparkcontrol software,select Nucleic Acid Quantitation2.Blanking2.1 Select a sample testing type:ds DNA,ssDNA and RNA(by default 'ds DNA'is selected).2.2 Select the blanking wells(A1,A2...H1,H2)by clicking on them.The 'blue dots'will turn yellowwhen selected.圃@二2.3 Select Individual Blanking to start the individual blanking procedure or Average Blanking to startthe average blanking procedure.After selecting,the plate holder will come out automatically.2.4 Insert the NanoQuant Plate with the respective blanking samples.Make sure the TECAN logo is atthe right bottom corner(see picture below).Click OK to do the blanking.
