V1.0TBCPx CAL.T巨K旦O×DIGITALSOLUTIONSRF CURRENT MONITORING PROBE CALIBRATION FIXTURES1 IntroductionThe TBCP1 CAL,TBCP2 CAL,TBCP3 CAL and TBCP4 CAL are calibration fixturescorresponding with the TBCP1,TBCP2,TBCP3 and TBCP4 series of RF current monitoringprobes.RF current probe calibration fixtures are used in combination with a Vector Network Analyzeror Spectrum Analyzer equipped with tracking generator in order to measure the transferimpedance of RF current monitoring probes.Every Tekbox RF current monitoring probes is shipped together with a correspondingcalibration sheet containing the transfer impedance values vs frequency.Consequently thereis no acute need to acquire a calibration fixture together with the probe.Calibration fixturescan be used for periodic inspection of the probes or for health checks,in case that a probedropped and there is suspect that its ferrite core may have suffered damage.2 OperationA calibration fixtures in combination with the installed probe represents a coaxial line with animpedance of approximately 50 Ohm.One side of the probe is connected to the signal sourceand the other side is terminated with 50 Ohm.The Vector Network Analyzer or SpectrumAnalyzer receiver port is connected to the RF current probe.The output signal of the currentprobe is a function of the current flowing through the probe fixture and can be converted toobtain the trans-impedance characteristics of the probe.Vector Network AnalyzerorSpectrum Analyzer/TGRFRFINOUT50 OHMProbeCalibration fixturePicture 1:calibration set up1
